The Christmas display for 2001 started in October. The biggest change was the redesign of the "coal box". Last years coal box it was not easy to change the oil in the generator and there still was a lot of noise, so I built a new one from scratch. It now has a more open design with more insulation so the sound level is a lot lower and it is a lot easier to change the oil.

There is also an addition of a caboose to the train. It is made out of the old coal box, which is just a lawn and garden trailer. My plan is to be able to take the decorations of and use it for a garden trailer in the summer.

As far as light additions, I trimmed the front property lines with icicle lights and added more lights to the trees.
